Senior Mid Year Reports
Requesting a Mid-Year Report
Please verify if the colleges/universities that you applied to require mid-year transcripts and reports. Most UC & CSU campuses do not require mid-year grades, but some do. Please check your online portal to see if these need to be sent. In order to have the colleges receive these materials, you will need to complete the Mid-Year Report Counselor Request Form. It is critical that you confirm the accuracy of your grades in Synergy prior to completing the form. Once received, we will be submitting via Common App or Xello on a weekly basis. Make sure the colleges you applied to are accurate in Xello and in your Common App account. You can start requesting mid-year reports on January 5, 2026. The deadline to submit your mid-year report request is February 13, 2026. Please contact your counselor with any questions.
UC Application Information
Supplemental applications
Some campuses and programs require submission of a supplemental application in addition to the UC application. Deadlines for supplemental applications and required materials vary but are strictly enforced. Encourage your students to check with the department and campus for current information. These applications may include, but are not limited to:
- An application form
- Letters of recommendation
- An audition
- A portfolio
- Videos
- Interviews
- Essays/personal statement
If students do not submit required materials, they will not be considered for admission to that program. In some cases, campuses may not review students who do not submit required supplemental materials for admission to the campus.
Not all campuses have majors or programs requiring supplemental materials. For a list of UC majors with additional requirements, see pages 61–62 of the Quick Reference Guide to UC Admissions. Students should check with the campus and department for further details.
After submitting the UC application
After submission, applicants can log in to their UC application to pay any remaining fees due, to view and print a PDF of their application and to make updates to limited information such as their personal details. All personal information updates such as name, email or mailing address should be made online in their UC application.
Beyond personal information, applicants should be advised that very little information can be updated in the UC application after submission. Applicants are unable to update information included in the “Activities and awards” section or their Personal Insight Question responses. Minor changes to activities, awards, volunteer work or employment are unlikely to have an impact on the admission decision.
Students who wish to report academic changes, change their intended major or withdraw their UC application from campus consideration prior to receiving an admission decision should follow these instructions. Applicants will receive access and further instructions regarding campus applicant portals in December. Some of the linked forms below may not be available until that time.
Reporting academic changes
First-year applicants
If there are changes to the students' academic record after they submit their application, such as changing schools, adding/dropping courses or earning a grade lower than a C, they might need to notify the campuses to which they’ve applied. Keep in mind, UC cannot guarantee that a campus can go back to review an application after correspondence has been received. View campus instructions and websites for reporting changes.
Transfer applicants
Academic updates will be submitted in the Transfer Academic Update (TAU). See further details about the TAU in this bulletin.
Upon receiving an offer of admission, students should review their conditions of admission for details on informing their campus of any deficient grades or schedule changes.
Requesting a change of major
Each campus has specific instructions if an applicant wishes to change their intended major after submitting a UC application, prior to receiving an admission decision. See campus instructions for major change requests.
Canceling/withdrawing a UC application
Each campus has specific instructions for their individual process if an applicant wishes to cancel or withdraw their application from further consideration. This only applies to students canceling or withdrawing prior to admission decision release. See campus instructions for canceling/withdrawing a UC application.
