Well our first spirit week and district wide assembly was a huge success! We had great participation (Mrs. Cowen's 1st grade class won the spirit stick for the largest percentage of participants for the week-woot woot). It is hard to know who enjoys spirit weeks more, the adults (Ms. Dana and Ms. Warren) or the kids. 😁 It is a priority that we secure instruction time even on the crazy days and our teachers did a great job of balancing that this week. We tell the kiddos we gotta do the learning and work stuff to get to do the fun stuff! Thank you to our FBLA team and sponsors for such a fun week!
Last week I pushed something out via rooms and it did not send correctly. I will be attempting this again soon. It is just information that as a public school we must make accessible to parents.
For the month of October we will recognize learners. If your child does something that stands out to you as a learner, we'd love to hear about it and share it with our entire Elementary at our morning zoom meeting. Message Ms. Dana or myself on the Rooms app or send us an email so we can celebrate the good stuff! warrenb@smithton.k12.mo.us or northd@smithton.k12.mo.us
Remember we are not in session tomorrow, Monday, October 6th.
