This Week at Wright

On Friday, our fifth graders will perform a Black History Poetry Slam that you won't want to miss.

Here are the times for the performances: - Mrs. Rowzee/Mrs. Turner's Class at 9:00 AM - Mr. Harris's Class at 10:30 AM

We are also celebrating Read Across America Week, and you can join us by dressing up each day for this event.

Our students are learning and having fun while doing it.

We are having too many parents coming in to sign students out early. This is not acceptable. Students should not be signed out early, unless they have a doctor's appointment or if it is an emergency.

As you know, our test scores are not where they need to be. When you get your child out early multiple times a week, your child loses out on a lot of instruction. Please help us by keeping your child in school.

LET THEM LEARN!

If you have a child who will be in 3K or 4K next year, please come and register them as soon as possible. Slots fill up quickly, so don’t wait until the last minute. Next year, 3K students will follow a regular schedule with no early dismissal, unlike this year. Starting school early will help them learn to read and prepare for school more effectively.

Please send a note for change of transportation. We can not accept calls unless it is an emergency. If you send a message via Dojo and do not get a response, your message was not received. Teachers do not have time to check Dojo often during the day. Please send a note with your child.

If your child is in the play, please make sure:

1. Students are at ALL play practices.
2. to contact Mr. Stroupe if your child is sick or absent. He won't know if they are absent or go home early.
3. You pick them up on time from rehearsal
4. to encourage your child to be on their best behavior during rehearsals
5. Check Class Dojo for information related to Play Practice
