October is Bullying Prevention Month. At Hays, we work to build character through appropriate modeling and by emphasizing our REAL Hawk traits. Remember that our words and actions matter, and it is important that everyone feels safe, connected, and valued in our school community. Let's embrace differences, commit to kindness, and encourage one another so that we can all play an active role in ensuring that Hays continues to shine!

- October 6: Cross Country meet at 5:00
- October 7: FM games at 5:00/6:15
- October 8: PTO Spirit Night at Halo Pizzeria, 5:00-9:00 pm / Athletics Booster fundraiser kick-off / Orchestra concert at 6:30
- October 9: PTO "Donut Day" during Hawk Time (students will be able to purchase a donut for $1!) / VB games at 5/6/7:00
- October 10 & 13: Student Holiday, No School
- October 24: Halloween Dance! details coming soon
- October 27-31: Red Ribbon Week

ORDER YOUR UIL ACADEMIC SHIRT TODAY - DEADLINE TO ORDER IS OCTOBER 31, 2025.
Students will wear their shirts at competitions and in team pictures, as well as just generally to support our Academic UIL program. This year's shirt was designed by Zorah A. Click here to order!

Our choir and art programs came together for an incredible concert and glow show this week. Our Superintendent, Dr. Ferguson, even came to Hays for the event!

We have many students getting connected through clubs at Hays. Our new Foosball Club has been a big hit! New clubs are being formed each week, so there's something for everyone!

Athletic Event Expectations
- To ensure student safety at Hays, all students who attend campus events as spectators are required to be picked up by 8:00 p.m. or shortly after the event ends, whichever comes first, unless they are attending the game with a parent. Students who are not picked up on time may lose the privilege of attending future events.
- For ANY games played at Children's Health Stadium, please also utilize the Clear Bag policy.
