SB351 Lesson Summary
On Thursday, September 18th, RHHS students participated in their first of five Parent Pro Tech lessons on digital citizenship & online safety. This first lesson titled, “Recharge Your Life”, asked students to evaluate their digital interactions and the possible impacts those interactions could have on their social & emotional well-being. Students learned the benefits of cutting down on their screen time and were presented with actionable steps they could choose to take to make that happen.
To reinforce this lesson with your child at home, the following discussion points can be used:
- What is digital wellness, and why is it important?
- How can mindfulness practices, reflection, and goal setting improve our relationship with technology?
- What strategies can we use to manage screen time and other digital habits effectively?
- Why is it essential to take breaks from digital devices, and how can we do it?
- How can self-reflection help us make informed decisions about our digital habits?
RHHS is using the state-approved Parent Pro Tech curriculum to satisfy the requirements of Georgia Senate Bill 351 (SB351). Georgia SB351 is designed to enhance student safety and digital awareness through instruction on responsible online behavior, recognizing and avoiding harmful online content, and engaging families in digital safety conversations. The bill mandates that schools provide age-appropriate lessons to students on digital citizenship and online safety and that parents be informed and included throughout the process.
Families are welcomed & encouraged to sign up for a free Parent Pro Tech account to view resources and activities to utilize at home!

MCV-4 Important Information
At the age of 16, Georgia requires that your student receive the booster to the MCV4 vaccine.
If they do not receive the MCV4 booster on or after the age of 16, their immunization record, Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231), will expire.
If you have not already scheduled an appointment for your student to get their vaccines updated, please contact your healthcare provider or the Bryan County Health Department at 912-756-2611 to arrange the MCV4 booster.
Meningococcal disease is a serious bacterial illness that affects the brain and causes shock, coma and death within hours of the first symptoms. Georgia law requires students be vaccinated against this disease.
Please provide an updated copy of the Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231) once the MCV4 booster is completed. This document will become a part of your student’s permanent record once it is received by the RHHS clinic staff.
Contact your healthcare provider or the Bryan County Health Department with any questions related to the MCV4 Booster.

Car-rider/parent drop-off information - Click Here
- If you are dropping off a car rider, please stay in the right lane and keep the left lane open when entering the round-a-bout for our student drivers.
- When dropping your child off in the morning and when picking them up in the afternoon, we kindly ask that you pull all the way down to the sidewalk right before the student parking lot B entry and ensure that your child is ready to unload as soon as you stop. This will allow for us to clear Belfast Keller and keep traffic rolling. Is it further than curbside drop-off? Yes. Is it going to allow for more cars to drop off at once? Yes. Is it a safe alternative? Absolutely. We appreciate you working with us so we can clear the car line in a timely fashion.
- If I arrive with my child prior to the 7am opening of school can they disembark from the car? Yes. We would appreciate you going ahead and letting them out. They are welcome to wait outside in the front of the school or step into the air conditioned foyer of the building prior to all-staff arrival.
