Principal's Message
Dear Families,
One of our most special events is happening tomorrow morning: the annual 0-3 Art Show. Everyone is invited to see the amazing work of our young artists. We hope you can join us starting at 10:00 a.m.
Also, tomorrow evening will be perfect for eating, playing, and socializing at PTO's Movie Night and Pizza Dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m. More details are below in the PTO section.
Georgia's Pre-K program recently achieved the important milestone of meeting all 10 quality benchmarks set by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER). The investment Georgia has made in early learning is showing tangible benefits. We are pleased to be a part of this achievement. More information can be found below.

Celebrating our 0-3 student artists
Come one, come all to the 0-3 Art Show tomorrow (Friday, April 24) beginning at 10:00 a.m.! This annual event is the culmination of many months of learning and creativity. Our artists are so excited to show off their work.
Georgia Pre-K Achieves Milestone
The state of Georgia is the first state with a universal Pre-K program to meet all 10 quality benchmarks set by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER). Georgia's lottery-funded Pre-K program is offered free of charge to families through public schools and private programs across the state. Georgia's recent investment of $97.6 million helped the state achieve this status, along with reduced class sizes, improved staff-child ratios, coaching and professional learning for teachers, degree and certification requirements for teachers and assistants, and increased pay for teachers. Georgia is one of just six states to meet all 10 benchmarks.

Library News
Pre-K students started the book Evergreen by Matthew Cordell. This sweet and clever take on the Little Red Riding Hood story is longer than our usual picture books, so we are reading it over two consecutive Mondays. The challenge is to see how much we remember of the story from one week to the next. This is excellent preparation for reading longer books and chapter books.
Please remind your child to bring back their library book on Monday so they can check out a new one!
This week's books for one-, two-, and three-year-olds

Ashton and Jackie were outstanding Administrative Assistants for the Day! They had a long list of duties, and they completed them perfectly, including taking attendance in each class, preparing for the fire drill, and then making a whole-school PA announcement canceling the fire drill when the air quality prevented us from going outside. Thank you, Ms. Caretha, for making this day so special for Ashton and Jackie!
Walking down the hall to class is so much better when you're holding hands with friends.
