Dear Trail Blazer Community
Beginning of the 4th Nine Weeks Grading Period
A friendly reminder that this Monday March 18th marks the beginning of the 4th and Final Nine Weeks Grading Period. Parents please emphasize to your students how crucial it is to finish this final marking period strong and utilize the available supports. If you have any questions or concerns regarding how your student will be finishing up this school year, please don't hesitate to reach out to your student's teacher.
Parents - If you are unsure about what's coming up in your child's classes (both weighted and unweighted) or don't always get updated campus information from your child, you are not alone!
You can find a lot of information in your child's Canvas course if you sign up as a parent observer. Below you will find information about how to set up an observer account as well as how to navigate Canvas and find useful campus information.
Eclipse Planning
We are excited about the upcoming opportunity the total solar eclipse will provide our students and community to share in a unique educational experience.

Campus visitors: Our property will NOT and CANNOT be used for public viewing and parents/visitors will not be allowed on campus during the event.
The campus will be closed to visitors from 1:00pm to 2:30pm to provide a safe environment for student viewing.
More information about LT’s eclipse viewing plans, absences, and opt-out options will be emailed to parents/guardians on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

Re-enroll in Frisco ISD
Parents of current students will receive an email invitation to indicate enrollment intentions for the 2024-25 school year beginning April 2, 2024. Complete the 2024-25 annual student registration form if your family is returning to the same campus or moving to another campus or out of Frisco ISD. More info.
COVID-19 Absences
The CDC has updated their COVID-19 guidelines. In turn, absences related to any sicknesses all follow the same guidelines. All students and staff should stay home when feeling sick, and individuals who come to school or work with symptoms of an illness may be isolated and sent home.
Reporting an Absence
All absences, excused and unexcused, count toward the state’s compulsory attendance law. When a student's attendance rate drops below 90%, the student may earn credit for the class or a final grade by completing a plan approved by the principal - as long as their attendance rate remains above 75%. Students below 75% are not eligible for the principal plan. All absences can easily be submitted in the form at the top of our campus website. Learn more about the attendance policy.
