Welcome back, families! As we embark on another exciting school year, I am thrilled to be preparing for eager learners and dedicated educators to return to campus. Our commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment remains steadfast. Together, we will continue to inspire and empower our students to achieve their fullest potential. Wednesday, August 6th:

• FIRST DAY of the 2025-2026 school year

• 8:15-1:40, periods 1-7

Thursday , August 14th and Friday , August 15th:

• Picture Day (in your child's PE class)

Thursday, August 28th:

• 6:00-7:20 PM Back to School Night (will circulate through your child's schedule as they see their classes, 1st through 7th periods)

Your students' Class Schedule will be available to view on Aeries on August 4th after 4pm. Please note, if you have not completed your Data Confirmation, you will not be able to view your students' schedule until the morning of August 6th.

Students will need to bring their Chromebooks - to school for daily use. We will NOT have extras in the classroom for students to use so it is IMPERATIVE they remember to charge and bring each day.

It is recommended that families purchase insurance for their student's Chromebooks. The cost is $24.95 https://securranty.com/mdusd here is a link to purchase insurance.

Please know that while we value your input, we’re unable to accommodate specific teacher requests. Our team works hard to ensure all students receive a high-quality experience in every classroom.

If your student wishes to request an elective change, a Google form will be available for them to complete on August 20th.

MDUSD requires all parents/guardians of incoming 6th Grade students to provide, in person, three (3) forms of documentation to verify residency within their home school residential area. Intra-district Transfers also need to provide proof of residency. This is required EVEN if you have a student already enrolled at Foothill.

Proof of Residency occurs at first enrollment and again for 6th Grade & 9th Grade. This link has a chart of what is needed to complete this process.
