Nichols' Reading Challenge

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce our end-of-the-year Nichols reading challenge! To keep the motivation to read alive through the end of the school year, we are incentivizing students to read nine books by the end of May.

As your child completes their reading, please sign the appropriate box on the attached Challenge Document. Students can also request a paper copy from Ms. Philippe in the library. Students will check in with Ms. Philippe on Fridays and she will keep track of students’ progress.

Here is the incentive structure:

Read 3 books by the end of April→ donut delivery during your ELA class

Read 6 books by the end of May → receive a $5 gift card for a special treat from a local business

Read 9 books by the end of May → attend a movie party with a catered lunch
