Dear District 115 Families:
Goal three of our new strategic plan is that every student will have a school environment, facilities, and resources to support safety, academic growth, and wellness. One way to accomplish this by continuing to forge community partnerships to amplify student learning experiences and have a positive impact within and beyond the communities of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood.
One of my greatest privileges as Superintendent is to work with students. Another, is to work with our community to develop connections with parent groups and organizations to create opportunities for students and staff to co-create programs.
Within just the first weeks of the new school year, I have had the privilege of meeting with several of our parent organizations, the LF/LB Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Forest - Lake Bluff Rotary Club, attended the ribbon cutting and dedication of the new Veterans Monument in Lake Forest's Veterans Park organized by the City of Lake Forest and American Legion McKinlock Post 264, and visited with many more. Our partnership with our community is ever-present and we are continuing to look for new ways to bring our community into Lake Forest High School to now only share the incredible talent and achievements of our students and educators but also to create new opportunities.
Sincerely,
Matthew L. Montgomery, Ph.D.
Superintendent

Great FULL Market
We are excited to invite you to help host the Great FULL Market, a free family event for families affiliated with Beacon Place in Waukegan. This event includes a free fresh produce market, playing Lotería games, bracelet making, as well as enjoying churros and hot chocolate. This is the third year the event will be held at Beacon Place and we need your support to make it a success!
We are currently seeking donors to help offset the cost of hosting balloon artists, providing free hot chocolate and churros, as well as funds to help provide personal hygiene products. All donations are tax-deductible and make a significant impact on the event we are able to create!
We are also seeking volunteers to help with various activities such as setup, cleanup, food distribution, crafts, and more. If you are interested in volunteering, please check this Friday’s FanScout!
