Decision Day 2026 Decision Day 2026

Decision Day 2026 was an exciting time--lots of good emotions and celebrations.

Here is the Photo Gallery from Ms Jules Shelkoff. (Thank you!)

The first half is of the hour students ate, took pics, signed yearbooks, hung out together, had several competitive games of hacky sack, did face painting, listened to music, and much more.

The second half is of the individual schools our students are attending.

Thanks to Ms. Shadiqa White Points for organizing this, and to the counselors (Ms. Kiana Wills, Dr. Jazzmon Parham, and Ms. LaTonya Taylor) for diving in to help make this work smoothly.

We are also so appreciative of The Decatur Career Academy ( DCA) including, Ms. Danielle Jones, Ms. Benson and many more, who were instrumental in making all of this possible.

Special thanks and much gratitude to Mr. Skillman, Mr. Hatfield, Ms. Garcia, Ms. Thibadeau, Chef Tex and the culinary team, and of course, Dr. Sprull. Without these folks, it would not have happened.

Graduation season is off and running! Take care during this time,

The DHS Counselors

All students must come to the test center with three things for both tests:

1 - A device that they have made sure can be used for the test. There are no devices to be loaned from the test center.
2 - An Admission ticket. You must have a paper/printed admission ticket for the ACT. A printed or an electronic ticket may be used for the SAT.
3 - A hard plastic ID card, passport, or completed ACT or SAT ID form (completed = everything filled out and it is signed/notarized). School ID must show the current year. State federal ID must be valid on the test date.

ACT Registrations

ACT requires device readiness checks on all testing devices 2 to 4 weeks prior to testing. Examinees will be responsible for performing device readiness on their laptops. ACT describes the readiness process and current Device Readiness Cutoff Date at https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/test-changes/gateway-test-center-resources.html.
