September Newsletter

We’re off to a wonderful start, with lots of exciting events already in the works! From fall sports and PTA Picture Day to new community service opportunities, the next month is shaping up to be a busy one.

This year, we are continuing our school-wide goal of strengthening student organization. All students are using binders, and we are expanding our focus on effective note-taking by emphasizing student writing across all classes and throughout the school.

I’d also like to extend a thank you to all the families who joined us for Back to School Night on September 15th. It was wonderful to see so many new and familiar faces throughout the evening. Thank you as well to the students and PTA who helped create welcoming chalk art as our students started their first day.

Be sure to look out for our monthly newsletters, which feature school updates, parenting tips, upcoming events, sports highlights, and photos showcasing our amazing students in action!

Sincerely,

Chad Donahue

Fall Sports Are in Full Swing! Tryouts were held during the week of September 14th, and we've just wrapped up a successful first week of practices. Our student-athletes are training hard and ready to compete! The Volleyball Team will kick off their season with a game at GMB against Piscataway at Conackmack Middle School on September 29th. Meanwhile, the Boys’ Soccer Team will play their first match against South Amboy Middle School on September 30th.

Come out and support our teams as they begin an exciting season!

See below for a list of our scheduled fall sports games! Updates to the schedule are made on our morning announcements and Jamesburg communication app.

Students in the MTHS Honors STEM and Business Academy follow a four-year program in Biomedical, Engineering, IT, Business Management, Marketing, or Economics/Finance—designed to prepare them for competitive college and career pathways.

Interested families are invited to attend their Information Night on Monday, October 5th, open to current 7th and 8th grade students and their parents/guardians. Learn about the application process, meet faculty and current students, and explore what the Academy has to offer.

Downtown Jamesburg is hosting a Halloween Costume Swap, and we’d love your help to make it a success.

If you have gently used costumes or accessories you'd like to donate, please drop them off at the GMB main office. We are accepting costumes and accessories of all shapes and sizes. We’ll be collecting donations now through October 2nd. Thank you for your support!
