Herbert Hoover ES Title I Annual Meeting Overview
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, Herbert Hoover Elementary School held its Title I Annual Meeting. A total of 18 families plus staff and community members attended the event. During the meeting, attendees learned about the purpose of Title I Part A, how the program supports student learning, and opportunities for parent involvement throughout the year. Parents also reviewed the Future Ready School Plan and goals for the 2025–2026 school year, as well as reviewed and revised the School Parent and Family Engagement Plan and the School-Parent-Student Compact. Families were encouraged to provide feedback and ask questions to help guide future Title I activities.
Parent & Family Engagement Plan
Schools receiving Title I funds must jointly develop with family members, staff, and community members a written Parent and Family Engagement Plan. Herbert Hoover ES develops a Parent and Family Engagement Plan each year to help focus and guide how we plan to serve and work alongside families. Click here view our updated plan.
School-Parent-Student Compact
Each year Herbert Hoover ES develops with family members, staff and community memebers a School-Parent-Student Compact that outlines the unique roles students, families and schools all play in supporting your students success. The compact asks that we all commit to our individual roles to ensure each student has an outstanding year! Click here view the compact.
Future Ready School Level Plan
The Future Ready School-Level Plan is Pennsylvania’s required school improvement plan under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
Here’s what it means in practice:
- 📘 Purpose: It serves as a roadmap to outline each school’s priorities, goals, and strategies for improving student achievement.
-
🏫 Content: The plan includes schoolwide goals (such as raising academic achievement, improving attendance, or closing learning gaps), strategies for instruction, and supports for students.
-
👨👩👧👦 Family Engagement: Parents are part of the process—they’re invited to review and provide input so that family and community perspectives guide the goals.
-
🔄 Cycle: It is developed and reviewed annually, with progress monitored and adjustments made as needed.
Families at Herbert Hoover Elementary reviewed the Future Ready School Plan at the September 18, 2025 Title I Annual Meeting. The school plan incudes the school’s official improvement goals and strategies for the 2025–2026 school year. Attendees had the opportunity to provide input to ensure the plan reflects student and family needs.
If you have any feedback regarding the plan please email the principal Dr. Glennon at dglennon@neshaminy.org
