Meet and Greet
At D102, Meet and Greet is a special time where students have the opportunity to tour their classroom and meet their teacher. Please have your child bring their school supplies, whether ordered from the PTO site or purchased on your own. This is not a drop-off event. Please stay with your child during this time.

Dear Families,
Please be sure to turn in your required health immunization and physical information to our school nurse as soon as possible if you haven't already. Please review this D102 Required Health Forms chart for more information.
First Day Bell Schedule
AJHS Morning Routines
Class starts at 7:50, students should be in their classrooms for a soft start at 7:45.
Students who are running late will be let into the building until 8am without a parent/guardian, but they are marked tardy.
After 8am, parents/guardians MUST come in the building to sign their student in late. Students are marked tardy.

Food Service
To access the Food Service Lunch page, and the monthly Quest hot lunch menu, please click HERE. Ms. Annette Giegoldt is the Food Services Director for our school district should you have additional questions regarding the lunch program. Lockers
Your locker combination will have 3 numbers. You can use the graphic organizer below and fill in your numbers to help you until you are comfortable opening your locker without a guide. You can find your locker number and combination on August 11 in PowerSchool or in the email that will be sent during the afternoon. Please do not share your combination with any other students.

Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures
Your child’s safety is our top priority. Please follow these guidelines to help keep everyone safe and traffic moving smoothly.
General Reminders
Follow staff directions and posted signs.
Be patient and courteous—allow extra time.
ONLY Buses may use the north exit during arrival and dismissal.
Students may only be dropped off and picked up in the carline and not in parking spots.
Cars enter and exit at the traffic signal.
Morning Drop-Off (Before School, 7:30 - 7:50 AM)
Where to Go:
Enter from Weiland Road.
Follow the outer edge of the new parking lot to the south end of the building.
Follow the lane splits at the double yellow line.
Follow the direction of the staff directing traffic.
Pull all the way forward in the designated drop-off area before letting your child out.
Students may only exit vehicles at the designated drop-off area along the curb.
Exit at the traffic signal at the south entrance/exit (right or left turn onto Weiland Road).
Important Note:
Do NOT use the Veterans Park lot across Weiland Road.
Visitors may park in designated visitor parking at the front of the school or in the new parking lot.
Bus Drop-Off:
Buses drop off in the front (west) lot—for buses only.
Bike Riders:
Bike racks are located:
Fine Arts wing courtyard
Fine Arts wing sidewalk
Science wing entrance (northwest side)
Students must:
Use sidewalks and crosswalks.
Walk bikes on school sidewalks.
Lock bikes and place helmets in lockers.
Walkers:
If crossing at the Weiland Rd. crosswalk, a crossing guard will be on duty.
All walkers should use designated crosswalks as directed on property.
After-School Pick-Up – 2:50 PM
Where to Go:
Enter from Weiland Road.
Follow the outer edge of the parking lot at the south end of the building and then
Pull forward in the white-lined area before picking up your child.
Students must get into cars along the curb in the designated area.
No walking through the loop—students must wait in safe zones.
After pick-up, you may use the inside (left) lane to exit.
Exit at the traffic signal at the south entrance/exit (right or left turn onto Weiland Road).
Arrive after 2:40 PM to prevent congestion.
Important Note:
Do NOT use the Veterans Park lot across Weiland Road.
Bus Pick-Up:
Buses load in the front (west) lot—no parent cars allowed.
Bike Riders:
Use the same racks and safety rules as in the morning.
Walkers:
Use the north crosswalk at the south entrance/exit traffic light.
Crossing guard will be present.
Transportation
Please look for transportation information in the District letter that will be emailed on Tuesday, August 11.This will contain your child’s bus number. To check the status of your child's bus, please call First Student Bus Company, at 847.634.0868. If you have a busing question or want to report a problem, please contact our Transportation Coordinator, Denise Koto at 847-353-5680 or email her at dkoto@d102.org.
