Bronco Families,

We hope this newsletter finds you and your families safe and healthy. Hopefully you have been able to enjoy the nice weather and have had a relaxing summer. As we get prepared to enter a new school year, we are excited to be able to kick things off with our TCOBD event. Watch for a bright postcard in the mail with dates and times!

Our staff has been working hard all summer planning curriculum and preparing for the return of students. Please make sure to read this entire newsletter, it is packed with very important information regarding this upcoming school year including some changes you don't want to miss.

We really encourage you to join us for TCOBD in order to take care of so much prior to the start of the school year.

  • VERIFICATION FORM: this is the most important form, allowing us to contact you with up to date information. We send out regular newsletters and do so by email, if we can have at least one address on file this would help to ensure that you are getting the most up to date information. You will update this form at Station 1 or you can take care of this by logging into your ParentVue.
  • HOP/Tri-Met: Parkrose High School will be able to offer HOP passes to students this year on an as needed basis. Many students received a summer pass that is good until the end of August, however getting a pass from us will ensure that they are set up when school begins in September.
  • Fees: We will be adding fees to Synergy. You will be able to stop by this station at TCOBD to see what fees have been applied and pay at that time if you choose. Fees can be paid online through ParentVue or StudentVue, via the web, not mobile or at the school office via cash or check. This will also be the station in which students can take a first look at their schedule for the upcoming year.
  • Athletics: Registration for sports is open and online. Please take a moment to visit the website and fill out the registration if your student plans on playing sports when we return. Please see the athletics section below for more information.
  • Photos: Lifetouch will be on-site taking photos during all TCOBD sessions. Student ID cards will be distributed during this time as well as the opportunity to purchase school photos. These photos are important as they will be in the yearbook at the end of the year as well. See below for how you can pre-order your photos online!

** Don't skip STATION 1. The Student Verification form must be updated and signed as it is important that we have updated information for each student. It is also crucial that we have correct phone numbers to reach parents as well as emergency contacts in the event that a parent is not available.

We are looking forward to starting the 2023-2024 school year. This summer has flown by and we are getting so close to the beginning of what we hope is another fantastic year to be a BRONCO!

Sincerely,

Molly Ouche

Shaver Crosswalk

Bronco Families we are asking for your help! Before and after school we do our best to get car riding students out quickly and keep traffic moving. We also always want to keep the safety of our students at the forefront, to do so we have a crossing guard at the crosswalk between the MS and HS. There have been times when the crossing guard has come close to getting hit by a car while trying to provide our students a safe place to cross the street. Please help us by watching for the crossing guard if you come to pick up your student!
