St Anthony's School News

Week 9 - Thursday 11th December 2025
St Anthony's School community works collaboratively to teach and live the values of Christ. While respecting tradition, and to meet the demands of a rapidly changing society, it strives to educate our children to their full potential.
Principal's Message
Very soon we will be celebrating Christmas. May you all have a holy, happy and safe Christmas and January holiday in the company of family and friends.
And ‘in the blink of an eye’ another year has passed. Children finish school this Friday but staff will be at school next week. Reports will be released to parents on Friday along with information about which class your child will be in in 2026.
In all the busyness, it was lovely to take time out for the Carols on the Green last Thursday. Many thanks to parents and extended family members who came along to watch our children. Thank you also for your cooperation as we dismissed children back into your care.
A special thanks to all the families who have donated food for our Christmas hampers. Through your generosity we are able to ensure at least 13 families have a wonderful meal on Christmas Day.
Tonight, we celebrate with our Year 6 students and their families at the Graduation Mass. We wish our Year 6 students all the best for their future education in high school and beyond.

Thank You From the Matta Family
We just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff and families who helped organise and contribute to last weekend’s musical bingo event. We really appreciate the huge amount of work that would have gone into putting this together to make it such a special evening. The school community's care and generosity means so much and we are extremely grateful for everything that was done to make the evening so uplifting and heartwarming.
The kindness and support we have been shown over the past six months from staff, students’ cards, parents’ wishes and the P&F has deeply touched our family.

eRideables in Schools from 2026
Our school is committed to ensuring that our students are empowered to travel to and from school safely.
We recognise that eRideable devices such as eScooters and eBikes are a popular mode of transport accessible to many within our School/ College community. Equally, St Anthony's School recognises that eRideables are subject to legislation that prohibit a child under the age of 16 from utilising these devices.
Therefore, from Monday 2nd February 2026, students who are under 16 years of age will not be permitted to use or store an eRideable device on school premises.
Examples of eRideables include but are not limited to:
• eScooters
• eSkateboards
• hoverboards
• eSkates
• eUnicycles
The Road Safety Commission has developed a webpage with information about the Road Traffic Code (legislation) which can assist individuals in understanding their personal obligations where eRideables are concerned. For more information about eRideables please click here.
We thank you in advance for your support of this initiative which will ensure the ongoing safety of our students and broader school community.
