Inside Scoop
Hockinson High School - 2024-2025
February 28, 2025
Hello, Hawks:
What an incredibly beautiful end of the week we've had! After snow days earlier this month and a wild wind storm to start the week, we've been blessed with this taste of spring. Probably means there's a blizzard on the way.
Today, our Environmental Club students continued the tradition of working with 1st Graders at HHES - HHS students taught their little friends about bears and made bear puppets!
Also today, our Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) delivered hundreds of pounds of clothes they had donated.
Last weekend, we had over a dozen wrestlers compete in the Mat Classic, Washington's state championships. Jasper Armstrong and Jake McKee finished 5th in their respective weight classes. Teagan Trenda finished 4th in her weight class. If you've never been to the Mat Classic that is held in the Tacoma Dome, it's quite the experience. Every time I've gone, I'm still left in awe.
Also that weekend, Boys Swim competed at State at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. Our 200 Yard Medley Relay team composed of Nick Stanley, Ryder Hough, Adam Wendler, and Dilan Anderson finished 8th in state.
ALSO that weekend, members of our band competed in the Lower Columbia Music Educators Association Solo and Ensemble Festival. Go down to the Band Update section to read more about how we did!
Hawks kick butt. Hawks #Elevate.
