Branagan's Bulletin

Week of January 23 - 27, 2023

Branagan's Bulletin Week of January 23 - 27, 2023

Welcome Back!

Hello MHS,

I hope you had a great weekend. It was such a busy weekend for our school with many athletic events and practices. Love this time of the year!

This week will mark the end of Semester I. Grades will officially close on Thursday, January 26, 2023 and the new semester will begin on Friday, January 27, 2023. The start of the new semester brings such a fresh start for all of us. On Friday of this week, you will start brand new classes and new experiences will begin. It is really important to think about the first semester. What did you do that you would do differently? What are you proud of? What would you change? How do you want to demonstrate your academic success? These important questions are something that I hope you will take a few moments to answer. It is my expectation that with the start of the new semester brings the hope of something great for all of you. The start of the new semester is a renewed promise for excellence. However, each and every one of you must dig deep and make the commitment to yourself that you will be successful. It is our commitment to partner with you to make that happen. I look forward to celebrating all of you throughout the new semester!

Additionally, I must take an opportunity to thank you for your commitment to our Advisory last week and our request for feedback on how we are doing as a school. The activity you participated in asked the student body about things that we are demonstrating strength and success, and things that we must focus on to be better. This activity asked you to think about the collective work of our student body. The feedback was excellent and quite powerful. I will be sharing elements of the feedback with you over the next few weeks. However, one item jumped off the page for so many of you. Many of you noted that being respectful and kind to each other was something that was overwhelming for an area of growth. I truly hope we can work together to ensure that we are a community that is kind and supportive of each other. We have no room for disrespect and this work must come from each of you. Let's work together to find solutions for this area of growth that you identified to be something you want to place focus on as a student body. The graphic below speaks volume of how we must begin this important work!

Excited for our week ahead!

Can't wait to see you!

Have a great week!

Bran
