We are excited to announce that the NFTE Summer Biz Camp was a great success!!! BizCamp students came up with a business idea and then work to complete a business plan. At the end of the camp, students presented their plans to a panel of judges for a chance to win seed capital.

BizCamp took place from July 24 - Aug. 4. Dispite it being held right in the middle of summer break our students were there and super excited everyday!!

Camp activities include:

• Classroom lessons: NFTE's curriculum covers a range of topics such as return on investment, supply and demand, opportunity recognition, and marketing.
• Field Trips: Students visit local wholesale districts or discount stores, participate in selling events, and meet local entrepreneurs.
• Guest speakers: Entrepreneurs and business professionals bring the outside world into the classroom, presenting on various topics to complement lessons being taught throughout the course.
• Business plan competition: Students present their business plans to a panel of judges, and compete for seed capital.

All of our students walked away from Biz Camp winners! They all now possess something money could never buy, that's Experience, Exposure, and Engagement. These components, so rich in the NFTE curriculum, set our students up to be ahead of the game for the upcoming school year and life.

The amazing opportunities that started with Biz Camp don't stop here! ALL of our students in the Business Pathway will have the chance to be Exposed, Engaged and Experience the NFTE curriculum during their dual credit BUSI 1301 class.
