NES Parent Newsletter 2/09/26
February 9, 2026

Dear NES Families,
We have a busy week ahead at NES! The Book Fair is open all week, and APTT meetings are happening throughout the week. Grade levels will be celebrating students meeting our PBIS expectations with their mini-bash for eligible students. Class pictures are on Wednesday, the Kids Heart Challenge event is on Thursday as well as our Love for Literacy event Thursday evening. Friday is an early release day, our STEM day, and School Resource Officer appreciation day. Monday, February 16th, is a holiday and there is no school for staff or students.
Please be sure to bring your ID to your scheduled APTT appointment. If you have not already done so, please make sure to schedule a time to meet with your child's teacher for APTT #2. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your child’s progress, participate in a meaningful data chat with your student, and visit the Book Fair together. **Due to protected student privacy, only the guardians listed in Skyward can meet to discuss student data unless an information sharing agreement is on file to share information with someone other than the legal guardian(s).**
If you are an approved volunteer and would like to help with the Book Fair, Kids Heart Challenge, or our Love for Literacy event, please contact the front office—we would love to have your support.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for supporting literacy at our school!
With gratitude and positivity,
Mrs. Jessica Lowe, Principal
