Dear Husky Families! 🐾

Our first year at Heritage Heights has been outstanding! We want to take a moment to thank each of you—students, staff, and families—for the energy, heart, and community spirit you bring to our school every day.

To our incredible Grade 9s: we are so proud of the leaders, learners, and kind humans you have become. High school awaits, and we know you’re more than ready. Do not be strangers—come back and visit us from time to time! To the families whose last child is leaving us this year, thank you for the many years of partnership and support. You will be deeply missed.

Wishing everyone a safe, joyful summer filled with sunshine, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

You have earned it!

Warmly,

Ms. Rita Marie Rahn (Principal)
Mrs. Shanda Dupras (Vice Principal)

Fall Start Up Fall Start Up

We have been very fortunate to have a physical education and music specialist over the years. These programs are important for the development of well-rounded children. In order to maintain music, grades K-6, Band 6, Band 7-9 and physical education classes grades 7-9, we are looking at creative ways to release staff and maintain reasonable numbers in homerooms.

We will be maintaining our strong structures of support, such as our Husky Den that is accessed by all students. We will have Educational Assistants, Learning Coach, Family School Liaison Counsellor and a Youth Development Coach.

The office staff will look different. We will have one person in the front, meeting greeting, answering phones and taking care of finances. We understand these are different for our community. We ask for your trust and grace as we do our very best to maintain programs and experiences for your children.

Staffing Updates: We would like to wish the following valued staff members well on their new endeavours: Mrs. Provost, Mr. Reeve, Mrs. Shields, Mrs. Zadorozniak and Ms. Darel.

WE WON!

For the second year in a row, Heritage Heights has taken home the top spot in the School’s Out For Summer drink competition, thanks to our wildly popular Husky Howler magical drink at Covet Sips and Treats!

From June 2nd–15th, our community came out in full force to sip, support, and show their school spirit—and wow, did it ever pay off! Your enthusiasm and Husky pride helped us secure the win once again, and we are thrilled to announce that our school will be receiving a cheque to benefit our students.

A massive thank you goes out to Covet Sips and Treats for hosting this fantastic (and delicious) community competition. We’re proud to support local businesses that bring people together in such fun and meaningful ways.

Here’s to sweet victories, stronger community connections, and—of course—the magic of the Husky Howler! 🐾💙

Grade 9 Farewell: "A Night Under the Stars" 🌃 Grade 9 Farewell: "A Night Under the Stars" 🌃

What a magical evening we shared as we celebrated our Grade 9 students with “A Night Under the Stars”! The evening was filled with laughter, memories, heartfelt words, and some seriously stylish outfits. Our students were truly dressed to the nines, and their elegance was matched only by the pride that filled beautifully transformed gym.

Our Master of Ceremonies—Charles, Kaidence, Taylor, and Nathan—were absolute stars of the show. With humour, poise, and a strong connection to the audience, they carried the evening seamlessly and represented their peers with confidence and charm.

Layla gave a beautiful tribute to our Heritage Heights families, with a special thank you to the parents and guardians (especially for all those endless drives to practices, games, and events). In response, Kayla’s mom, Ms. Paget, delivered a moving and emotional parent address that brought many in the room to tears.

Our valedictorian, Jordyn, spoke with grace and pride about what it means to live out our school motto: Integrity, Leadership, and Success. Her words captured the spirit of this remarkable group of students.

Ella and Victoria added a perfect touch of humor and nostalgia with their joint speech to the Heritage Heights staff—complete with memorable (and hilarious!) moments from Kindergarten through Grade 9.

The Grade 9 class also left a lasting mark with their incredible legacy gift—a large outdoor canopy that will be used and appreciated by students at future school events for years to come.

To the Grade 9 Class of 2025—thank you. We are so proud of the people you have become, and while we will miss seeing you in our hallways each day, we know you are ready for what comes next. Keep shining, wherever your path may lead.
