MLC Through The Month
January MLC Recap
January has been packed with fun and creativity at Big Mystic! This new month brought so many exciting choices for our kids to explore and enjoy. One standout was our DIY Gameboard Club, where kids let their imaginations run wild by creating their own characters, rules, and designs for a one-of-a-kind gameboard. We also dove into spooky fun with our Ghost Hunting experiences, where kids learned about different types of ghosts and even got to try their own hand at being ghost hunters in the game.
Along the way, we explored plenty of other fun choices, including food crafts that allowed kids to get creative with food while making some tasty treats. Our art and craft options were a big hit too especially dish soap silly putty, where kids loved learning how to make putty using simple household items. Canvas painting was another favorite, as kids practiced blending colors to create beautiful sunset scenes.Overall, January has been full of laughter, learning, and creativity, and as always, there’s never a dull day at Big Mystic!

MELC Through The Month
January MELC Recap
January has been such a great start to the year at the MELC, we were so excited for the new clubs and to start school back again. It really gets us ready for summer time and yes we know it's only one month in but we see the end of the school year already. Some of our favorite choices this month have been Painting With Zay and Diamond art with Charlene. We also enjoyed learning about the Caribbean Islands during Tropics club and of course loved our Science Club which we’ve been learning about chemistry!!! Jan has been a great month with lots of crafts and science projects but we are so excited to go into February. While we are happy to have another break from school, we love school but a break is always wanted. Next month we are excited to dive back into typing club and try a new art style with Charlene.
MELC KID AND STAFF HIGHLIGHTS
Congratulations to December’s Staff and Kid
Kid- Naylani
This month Naylani has stepped up as a MELC student and has been very helpful when it came to choice time and homework. Naylani has been a great reader to her fellow classmates, always offering to read with someone who is struggling to read or who just needs a helping hand. We are so proud and happy to have her in the classroom, what would we do without her.
Staff- Isaiah
Isaiah has really stepped out of his comfort zone when it comes to the kinds of choices he plans for the MELC, especially teaching his own art class this month. He is always trying to push the student educationally during choice and they always are receptive to his push. We are happy he likes being over at the Little Mystic and excited to see what the choices next month will be.

🌟 Kids’ Corner
Drawings, stories, jokes, and ideas created by our amazing Kids!
Hi! I’m Sherlyn! : "I made a tree house and I drew it first, then I cut it out and built it. My tree house has rooms inside one is my room and one is my brother’s room (but mine is cooler 😄). My room has my favorite things and a window so I can look outside. I like my tree house because it’s fun, cozy, and I wish I could live there forever! 🌳✨"
Fruit of the Month: Strawberries
Strawberries are the perfect pick for February, adding a pop of color and natural sweetness to the heart of winter. Packed with vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber, they help support immunity and overall wellness while feeling like a special treat. Whether enjoyed fresh, dipped in chocolate, blended into smoothies, mixed into yogurt, or added to salads and snacks, strawberries bring a little joy to every bite. Bright, juicy, and full of flavor strawberries make February feel festive, healthy, and delicious! 🍓
