Something to Yelle About
The Weekly Newsletter for the Henri A. Yelle Elementary
ANOTHER AWESOME WEEK IN #HAYNation!
Yelle Newsletter for September 19!
Hello from the Yelle.
It was another incredible week here in #HAYNation! This week we celebrated #StartWithHelloWeek by Sandy Hook Promise organization. It was a week to spread #Kindness and #Inclusivity and I feel as though we did a great job with it, as you will see multiple instances in the Big Picture above.
In the big picture above, each week, I use it as a way to highlight and show what we were able to accomplish during the week.
This week was a special one with #StartWithHelloWeek, where many of the pictures demonstrate our students doing kind things like putting positive sticky notes around the building, showed their Norton Pride by wearing purple and white, and even were super considerate and gracious when holding our #PositiveSignThursday that expressed how We do Spread Kindness. The kids were awesome this week. Another picture has a student, up at the board, showing how and explaining why she solved the problem as she did. Yet another picture displays two students working together and supporting each other. Another picture is of a 5th Grader, looking like a high school or college student using textual evidence in his writing. Another is a student I caught smiling as she worked on some math problems. And finally, there is one of those Start With Hello sticky notes stating that You Are Loved; and we are definitely loving all these kiddos!
These and the other pictures below that I have snapped throughout the week in and around the classrooms really do relay a story of the incredible relational accomplishments our students and teachers achieved this week. Please check them out below and all over our Instagram feed to help to tell the tremendous story we are writing this year.
