Greetings, Lake Ridge family!

Happy Spring! I hope you and your family are well and have found some time recently to get outside with the beautiful weather! We had an exciting week welcoming everyone back from Spring Break with Explorer Expedition! Thank you for all of your support! We had amazing weather and the kids put forth their very best effort!

I have enjoyed watching the children's growth and confidence soar this spring. Although testing season is closing in, we want to keep the students focused on personal growth and accomplishment. As we are in this final quarter of the school year it is imperative that students be at school all day, every day unless they are sick. If you ever have any question on attendance please feel free to reach out to me or Carolyn Lemery in the front office.

Attendance Matters

School attendance is a crucial factor in a student's academic success and overall development. Regular attendance ensures that students are consistently exposed to educational material, allowing them to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills. Studies show that students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve higher grades and have better social skills, as they engage more with peers and teachers. Chronic absenteeism, defined as missing 10% or more of the school year, can significantly hinder academic progress. Additionally, consistent attendance helps develop important life skills such as responsibility, time management, and perseverance.

TCAP Dates

TCAP testing begins next week. Please make every effort for your child to be at school and on time every day.

Thank you to everyone who showed our wonderful teachers, staff, and administrators appreciation by sending in pies for Pi Day in March and by contributing desserts and drinks for the salad and pasta lunch last Friday! Your ongoing support and participation are what make these treats possible, and they are much appreciated!

The students did a wonderful job giving their best effort on the track during Explorer Expedition on March 27-28! Huge thank you to all the parents and families that came out to cheer runners, mark shirts, and add to the fun and excitement of this event! 💚💙
