As the holiday season swiftly approaches, we find ourselves at the most magical—and busiest—time of the year! It's not only a time for celebration and reflection, but also a critical period for our Bears to demonstrate their hard work. So, let’s finish strong!

Finals Time Is Here! Finals are upon us, taking place on Wednesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 21. They play a big role in determining final grades, so we encourage students to stay focused, review their materials thoroughly, and take advantage of any teacher support. Remember to get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast to keep your mind sharp!

Important Dates:

Finals: Wednesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 21.
Grades Submission Deadline: Teachers must submit all grades by Friday, December 22.
No School for Students: Enjoy a well-deserved break starting Friday, December 22.

Winter Break and Return to School: Enjoy your winter break, recharge, and spend quality time with loved ones. We'll be excited to welcome everyone back, ready to take on new challenges when school resumes on Monday, January 8.

Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing the incredible things you'll accomplish in the new year!

Academies in Action: Freshman Academy

Freshman on Fire! Every month, 9th grade students are selected by their teachers for their outstanding work in and out of the classroom. These students get to share Bear Claws with Principal CK and celebrate their recognition. Way to go, Freshmen! We are proud of you!

Attendance and GPA Incentives: In November, 9th graders with no failures or behaviors were recognized with a trip to the Orpheum to watch a Las Cafeteras performance. We love celebrating our students, and have more recognition projects planned for Semester 2!

Freshman Family Involvement: We hosted a Freshman Family Night with pizza and games in October. Here, Ms. Allen greets families as they arrive. All 9th graders and their families are invited to our upcoming Family Academy Night on February 16th. Join us, 9th Bear Families!
