Welcome Back Heartland Families!
I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing fall break. With the exception of 1 day of rain, the Fall break weather was perfect!
We were so excited to see our students back last Tuesday as we didn't waste any time and got right into learning. Report cards went home last week (Thursday). If you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress, please reach out to your teacher.
On Wednesday, we participated in the Great American Shake Out/ our state wide earthquake drill. Then, while the weather was still nice, we went ahead and did our required monthly fire drill. The students did a great job on both drills!
On Friday we held our annual Career Day. THANK YOU to all the community members and Heartland Families that assisted with presenting to our students. They had a great day and enjoyed visiting all the various careers.
This week we are excited to be hosting our first Book Fair of the year. This week, tomorrow actually, we are hosting our annual Literacy Night. See the above photo for the events that take place.
Next week, we will be joining Bluegrass Middle and John Hardin High School in our Red Ribbon week dress up days. As soon as we get that information, we will send that information out to our families. Finally, on Friday October 31st we will have our Fall parties. Teachers will be sending home information regarding details for their classroom parties.
