Third Grade: Playing with Words!

Our third graders have been exploring the wonderful world of figurative language! Through their reading of Stink, students are learning how idioms, similes, and metaphors make stories more colorful and engaging. They've even been creating their own idioms and exploring the differences between literal and nonliteral meanings!

STEAM (Grades 3-5): Creativity in Action!

Our young designers have been putting their imaginations to work in STEAM! Students are exploring organic and geometric shapes, transforming simple shapes into creative artwork, and developing their own STEAM design journals. These journals will serve as a place to sketch ideas, plan inventions, and document their creative journeys throughout the year!

Fourth Grade: Falling Into Learning!

Fall is making its way into our fourth-grade classroom! In science, students are exploring why some trees lose their leaves, how acorns grow into oak trees, and the science behind our favorite fall pumpkins. Meanwhile, in writing, students are developing personal narratives, practicing the writing process, and strengthening their skills through peer editing and revision!
