Major's Minute
The other day we had family come over to visit. I tried to make more comfortable seating for our guests - which meant time for the air mattress! Our air mattress is pretty simple - make sure it's plugged in and press the number of of firmness that you want. VOILA! The air fills the mattress up.
However, this time, it wasn't as simple. As the air mattress was making noise, the air never filled up, and it remained flat. After quick inspection, we found out that there wasn't a leak in the mattress, but an actual plug for the mattress was completely missing!
Have you ever wondered why things weren't working out? Maybe there was just something blatantly missing, wrong, incorrect, not prioritized that could have made the difference. There are times when we may not understand what is happening around us, but I know for sure, that we can't get through those times without God. Make sure we are plugged into Him and He in us so that he can fill us up with peace, understanding, His breath of life.
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Anthem (Formerly known as WYI)
Dear friends,
Do you have young adults ages 18-28 years old in your corps or on your staff? If so, Anthem is for them!
What is Anthem?
Anthem (formerly known as WYI) is a week-long event for young adults, ages 18-28, that fosters a space for participants to explore the story of Jesus and learn how it intertwines with their own stories and the stories of others.
Anthem is more than an event - it's is a safe place for young adults to experience community and discover what it means to live out the story of Jesus in their own lives. This year, we will be focusing on exploring your own story, hearing the stories of others and discovering more of God’s story. Anthem activities will include times of worship, learning, fellowship and fun!
When is Anthem?
