World Languages & Cultures Language Survey
Today is the LAST DAY to submit this survey.
The School Board’s Curriculum and Instruction Committee is interested in hearing student opinions about World Language course offerings. The World Language Interest Survey asks students to select two languages of interest from a list of current and potential offerings. Students can select a language they are either currently or have already taken. This survey should take no more than 5 minutes for students to complete. Student participation is completely voluntary, and responses are anonymous. The survey can be accessed via the link or QR code at the bottom of this document. Students will need to enter their last name and student ID in order to access the survey. The student will be locked out of the survey after 5 unsuccessful attempts to log in. If a student has trouble logging in, please email the Research Office (research@lcps.org).

Rowing Fall Fundraiser
Badminton Club
Interested in playing badminton? Use @@bdbdc6f to join the Remind to receive updates on meeting times and locations as well as other club activities. Typically, the club will meet twice a month, once during advisory, and we will try to meet a second time in the mornings, 8:30-9:15 AM, during the week. Usually, a Tuesday or Wednesday morning during the fall and winter months. There will not be any after-school meetings due to gym conflicts during the fall and winter, as well as my coaching in the spring. Club members are asked to come to help set up the badminton courts in the mornings at 8:15 AM: Standards and netting.
Attendance Updates
- Please continue to submit all Attendance through the ParentVUE app on your phone or computer or via email to sbhabsentee@lcps.org. The farther in advance you can report an early dismissal, the more likely your student will be dismissed on time. It can take up to an hour to process an early dismissal, especially on high-volume days such as Friday afternoons and several days prior to a long weekend or extended break. Mornings also tend to be rather busy. Please try to submit requests for morning dismissals the day before the scheduled Early Dismissal. Parents may also bring a photo ID to the main entrance and dismiss their student at the Attendance Office.
- Be aware that ParentVUE only accepts one request per student per day. If you have already reported a Tardy arrival for your student and you wish to submit an early dismissal for later that day, the system will not accept the second request. You would need to submit the second request via email to sbhabsentee@lcps.org.
- ParentVUE will send you notifications every block if your student is marked anything other than present and on time to a class. Those are NOT generated by the Attendance Office. The only communication sent by the Attendance Office is the mid-day Truancy call/text/email notification.
- Visit the Attendance Page on the SBHS Website to learn more about Attendance procedures and definitions. LCPS has outlined very specific guidelines for excused absences, excused tardy arrivals, and excused early dismissals. Attendance eligibility for Athletes is also outlined on the Attendance page.
Door Dash/Food Deliveries
Can my student order food deliveries to school during the school day? Unfortunately, no. Students may not order food deliveries to school during school hours. High schools that have food deliveries made to the school cause multiple issues, primarily one of safety.
Parents are welcome to bring a photo ID to our main entrance & drop off food items for their students if necessary. Thank you for your help & support in ensuring students are not ordering food to be delivered to Stone Bridge while at school.
Transfer Student Library Orientation
The library will host an orientation for all students in grades 10-12 who are new to LCPS and/or Stone Bridge. Students can come from their study halls at the beginning of the block on Monday, September 19 and Tuesday, September 20 in order to tour the library and find out how to utilize the physical and digital library tools. The orientation will last about 20 minutes and students will then return to study hall. Students can contact the library staff with any questions. Freshmen all completed library orientation through their English classes.

Tutor.Com Access Through Schoology
LCPS is partnering with Tutor.com to provide all students with free online tutoring. Tutor.com, which is a service of the Princeton Review, is personalized to meet the individual needs of students. Tutor.com's tutors are available 24 hours a day and can provide tutoring support in a wide variety of subjects. This service was made available to LCPS students on Tuesday, September 6th.
Tutor.com will be accessed through a student's Schoology account. Connecting with a tutor is near-immediate and is available wherever a student has computer access. There is no limit to the number of times an LCPS student can connect with a tutor. Students can also drop off their written work and receive detailed feedback from a tutor within a day. In addition, the platform provides access to self-guided resources, including Advanced Placement videos and SAT/ACT Essentials courses from the Princeton Review.
Please check out the documents linked below for more information and encourage your students who would benefit from tutoring assistance to utilize this service:
