We look forward to celebrating Halloween at MOMS! Students are welcome to wear costumes to school on Friday, October 30th, provided they are appropriate for the school environment.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable day for everyone, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • Costumes must be school-appropriate and follow our school dress code.

  • No masks or face coverings that conceal a student's identity.

  • No weapons or weapon-like accessories, including toy swords, knives, guns, or other imitation weapons.

  • Costumes should not be excessively frightening, violent, offensive, or disruptive to the learning environment.

  • Students must be able to participate safely and comfortably in their regular academic school activities.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping Halloween fun, safe, and respectful for all of our MOMS Marauders. We can't wait to see everyone's creativity and school spirit!

Our first MOMS Marauder Rally was a huge success! It was an amazing example of the phenomenal community here at MOMS. The students came together and celebrated their school and grade level teams. Congratulations to our 7th Grade for winning Most Spirit over all!! We enjoyed music, games and friendly competition.

8th Grade Science

To wrap up their Brain unit, our 8th-grade students put their learning into action with a hands-on sheep brain dissection! After studying the major parts of the brain, their functions, and how the developing adolescent brain can influence behavior, emotions, decision-making, and risk-taking, students worked in groups to identify and examine the different structures of the brain. This culminating experience gave students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting while strengthening their understanding of how the brain plays an important role in who we are and how we behave.

6th Grade Science

Our student scientists recently completed a hands-on Gummy Bear Investigation to explore how water moves in and out of materials. Students placed gummy bears in different solutions, made predictions, carefully observed changes, and collected measurements before and after the investigation. They then used their data to explain what happened and why.

Beyond the gummy bears, students were practicing important scientific skills: making observations, collecting and analyzing data, identifying patterns, and using evidence to support a conclusion. The investigation provided a fun, visual introduction to the movement of water and will help students begin connecting what they observed in the lab to how water moves in and out of living cells.

Students coming in to the Media Center for FLEX are hard at work exploring a variety of engaging STEM activities made possible through a generous PTO grant! We’re grateful for the support that provides our students with hands-on learning opportunities to build creativity, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking. Thank you, PTO!

STUDENT IDs: All students at MOMS are required to wear their school-issued ID and lanyard each day as part of our commitment to building safety and accountability. If you received a message indicating your child needs a replacement, please be sure to return the original or submit the replacement fee as soon as possible. Incoming 6th grade students will receive their IDs on the first day of school. All returning students will also receive their IDs on the first day of school. IDs are to remain at school and will be turned in during PM Homeroom each day prior to dismissal. In the event that your student's ID is lost or damaged at any point during the school year, please have them report that to their homeroom teacher right away. They will be assisted with our replacement procedures.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Regular attendance and punctuality is

essential. Each day of learning builds on the last, and being

present ensures your child does not miss critical instruction

or fall behind. Arriving on time (8:00am) helps your child

begin with a positive mindset and stay on track with their

learning. To report a student absence please use pickup patrol. Click on the image below to access the site.
