A Note from the Dean A Note from the Dean

Hello Pioneers!

It was a busy, vibrant week at STM! In science, students engaged in hands-on demonstrations to understand the solar system, seasons, and day/night cycles. In math classrooms, standard concepts like the coordinate plane and exponents came to life with impressive breakthroughs. Meanwhile, the halls were filled with the sound of music students mastering their pitches and instruments, and art classes were hard at work exploring creative expression across different media.

During the upcoming week, we are planning student assemblies to speak about some of the disciplinary issues we are seeing pop up in each grade level. We will talk about "see something, say something", problem solving amongst friends, rumors, bathroom cleanliness and student responsibility to get to school and class on time.

Our field trip is schedule for December 1st to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly! We will visit from 10-12 and I am seeking chaperones for this trip. Please complete this volunteer application form and return it back to school. If you need a paper copy sent home, please email me directly.

Thank you all you are doing at home to help support your child. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out!
