Out and About in Our Schools Out and About in Our Schools

Learning was still happening in our schools this week, but there’s also a festive spirit in the last several days before Winter Break!

Best wishes to you and your family in this holiday season. See you in 2022!

MHS Winter Week

HIgh school students decorated snowflakes as part of the "Let it Snow" day this week. It was all fun and games until the table leg folded and spilled all the paint and glue on the floor!

Community Service

The annual MHS canned food drive brought in more than 14,000 cans of food for the Yamhill Community Action Partnership (YCAP), which counts the effort as an important driver in their efforts to supply 35 local food pantries and meal sites.

Duniway’s Leadership students also pitched in with nearly 3,000 cans of food donated to YCAP and a Christmas tree sale that will help supply a resource room and feminine products for Duniway students.

Thank you, students!

Buel’s Student Holiday Market Buel’s Student Holiday Market

Buel Elementary launched its first ever Holiday Market for students this year. The students were able to “shop” for holiday gifts for family members from a selection of donated items from various local retailers.

Winter at the Library

McMinnville Public Library has things for your children to do over the Winter Break. They can start a new reading challenge or attend one of the scheduled events of Winter Fun.

Check it out!

Community Partners

Kudos to Mac PD for their annual support of students with the “Shop with a Cop” program. Police staff accompany students on a holiday shopping trip for family members, help them choose gifts and then wrap them.

Thank you!
