A NOTE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT A NOTE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

April 17, 2026

Dear PUSD Staff and Families,

This week included time at school sites as well as opportunities to connect with partners thinking about the future of education.

I visited Canyon View Elementary, where classrooms were active and students were deeply engaged in their learning. It is encouraging to see that level of focus and care in action. Visits like this remain one of the most valuable ways for me to stay connected to the day-to-day work happening across our schools.

I also spent time at Design39Campus with ASU+GSV, joining conversations with educators and leaders from across the country. It is meaningful to welcome others to see the impact of innovation in our district, and these discussions help sharpen our thinking about what matters most for our students.

Looking ahead, we have a Board meeting next week with several important updates. We will review the results of the student cell phone policy survey, share a facilities update, and discuss our technology plan. Each of these reflects our ongoing effort to be thoughtful and focused in how we support students and staff. The Board of Education will meet on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office in the Community Room.

I am also looking forward to the final event in our Family Engagement Series, which will focus on addressing bullying through strong partnerships between schools and families. More information and a registration link can be found below.

With gratitude,

Ben
