Dear Bear Creek Families,
It is the time of year that we are planning for the 2025-2026 school year. First, your enrollment is essential for our future planning. Early enrollment allows us to hire teachers prior to the end of the school year. We are at 86% enrollment. This is well ahead of last year. Currently, our enrollment is only 14 students below the threshold for having a second music teacher and a second art teacher. Second, teachers are beginning to consider student groupings for the upcoming school year. This Teacher Characteristic Form is an opportunity for you to share with us needs of your child.
May is a busy month. We are using the NWEA MAP screener to assess growth in Reading and Math skills. Please make sure your child is coming to school ready to assess. If you are out for any reason, please let your child's teacher know as soon as possible. We seek to assess 100% of our Cubs. The MAP Growth Assessment is a wonderful tool not only for measuring your child's progress but it also allows us to plan for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Around the Den section is busy! Teachers are connecting across grade levels to strengthen our connections with each other, showcase growth, and create excitement about being promoted to the next grade level. We have tried to include as many photos as we can of these wonderful moments.
