Hello Montessori families!

We had a great first week back and jumped right back into it! Students have been hard at work!!

We have a lot coming up in January! We have our January PTSA meeting on January 20th from 7-8:30pm in room 30. On January 22nd, we have an event for prospective families called Lights On, Montessori. If any of your friends are interested in our school, tell them to come check it out! January 27th-30th we are hosting a Scholastic Book Fair! We need volunteers to help run this - so see below! On January 29th, the PTSA is hosting Family Game Night from 6-7:30pm and we have the book fair! So much fun in this cold, dreary month!

In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, Wauwatosa Montessori School invites all students to reflect on Dr. King’s life and legacy. Our district theme for this year is “Living the Legacy: Serve, Lead, and Dream.” Each student will have the opportunity to interpret and bring this theme to life by creating a poster utilizing our guiding pillars of service, advocacy, unity, voice, justice, and hope. Some classes are completing this at school, while others are sending it home as an option. Check in with your child's teacher if you need more details!

As we get back to regular routines, please remember our car line procedures to keep everyone safe!

If you choose to use carline, the adult must not get out of the car. If children need help with buckles, please park and walk up.
Be mindful of passing cars - sometimes there is room and it can be done safely (and slowly).
Please pull all the way up to the car in front of you, to allow for more cars to load/unload and keep the line moving as quickly as possible.

Family Game Night: Thurs. Jan. 29, 6-7:30 p.m. 🎲🧩

Join us at school in the A.P. classroom (Room 30) for a family game night! Bring your own game, cards or puzzle for this family event and then mix it up and play with other students and families.

Skate Club is Back!

Back by popular demand, Skate Club will be returning this year! Join us in January and February for some fun on wheels:

Thursdays after school until 4:00 p.m.
Fridays before school from 7:30–8:00 a.m.

We’ll be skating in the gym, and to help protect our beautiful new gym floor, skates must be in new condition and used only indoors. A helmet is required for all skaters.

No Skate Club Dates:

Fresh Hot Popcorn every Tuesday

We will once again have the opportunity to order popcorn on Tuesdays. The price is $.75 per bag. Students order it on Tuesday morning and the Next Steps crew make the popcorn and deliver it same day. So yummy!

The Wauwatosa East Orchestra invites you to the 4th annual Kidz Jam concert event on Saturday, February 7th, 2026. The event will feature snacks, games, crafts, an instrument petting zoo (to try out string instruments), and conclude with a performance by the Tosa East Symphony Orchestra.

Kidz Jam begins at 1:00pm with crafts and snacks and will conclude with a mini music performance at 2:30pm. This year’s theme is Sunken Treasure and kids are welcome to join us in costume. Finally, Kidz Jam is located at Wauwatosa East High School (7500 Milwaukee Avenue), completely free, and is open to the public.
