Dear Families,

As we begin to wrap up another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to thank all of you for your continued support, partnership, and encouragement throughout the year. It has been a wonderful year of learning, growth, and celebration for our students and staff, and we are grateful to share it with such a caring school community.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our parents and families for the kindness and generosity shown during Teacher Appreciation Week last week. From thoughtful notes and gifts to meals, treats, and acts of encouragement, our staff felt truly valued and appreciated. Your support means so much and serves as a reminder of the strong partnership we share in supporting our students each day.

In addition, almost all of our 3rd-5th grade students have now completed their state MAP testing. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, perseverance, and positive attitudes our students demonstrated throughout the testing process. They worked hard to show their learning and growth, and we appreciate the encouragement and support families provided at home during this important time of the year.

As we head into the final two weeks of school, we look forward to celebrating the accomplishments and growth of our students while finishing the year strong together. Next week, I will highlight our school improvement goals in our last Henry Happenings of the year. Thank you for making Henry Elementary such a special place for kids and staff alike.

We appreciate you and all you do for our school community!

Notes From the Library

Summer is the best time to read! We are welcoming Lindsay Bacus from St. Louis County Library to Henry on May 13th to help us get excited about summer reading. Students will learn about SLCL's summer reading program and all the prizes they can earn. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Goyal.

Additionally, our own Henry Library has a summer reading program for all our Henry Readers (students in 1-5th grades for 2026-2027). A packet of information will go home on Field Day about both summer reading opportunities. If you need more information you will be able to find it on the Henry Library Website.

Staff Bulldog Brag

Did you know that families can recognize staff members with Bulldog Brags, just like we do for students? If you or your child notice a staff member demonstrating one of our Henry Core Values—Kind, Responsible, Persevere, or Inclusive—we invite you to share it using the button below.

Each staff member who receives a Bulldog Brag will be honored with a certificate and a special surprise. As part of our character education, it is important for students to see adults modeling these values every day—and to hear real examples of what they look like in action!
