A Common Language for Strategies

AVID requires national demonstration campuses to use a "common language" with AVID strategies. Our staff is rocking the use of strategies, this poster will help make sure we are all using the same name.
WHY AVID?
AVID is an elective class, but the AVID strategies are a system to help ALL students (AVID Scholars) close any opportunity gaps and teach them the skills to be successful.
SHOW ME THE MONEY💲
As of March 15th our HHS AVID seniors and CAB AVID seniors currently have a combined total of 3.22 MILLION in awarded scholarships! 100% of our HHS AVID seniors have been accepted to a University. Mercedes Celis is leading the pack with 22 college acceptances each with some sort of financial aide package. Hats off to Coach Swan, Mr. Diel and all of our AVID seniors.
English 1 PLC
AVID 1 students had an opportunity to observe an ELA PLC. Students and teachers had GREAT conversations and created intentional opportunities to enhance learning.
