Cheetah Newsletter January 7, 2026
From the Principal
Welcome Back & Happy New Year Cherrydale Families,
We hope your family enjoyed a restful and joyful Winter Break. Welcome back to school, and happy New Year! We are excited to begin this next chapter of the school year together—there are so many wonderful learning experiences, celebrations, and opportunities still ahead for our students.
As we return, we’d like to gently remind families about our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. These routines are in place to keep all students, families, and staff safe. Recently, we’ve had a few close calls in our parking and traffic areas, so your cooperation is especially important.
Please remember to:
Follow the established flow of traffic at all times
Use designated crosswalks when walking students
Respect the cones and directions from our staff, which are placed for safety
Refrain from moving or removing cones from parking areas, as they allow us to safely unload students from family vehicles
We truly appreciate your patience and partnership in helping us maintain a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal each day. Thank you for working with us to keep our school community safe—and for making this a great place for kids to learn and grow.
We look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
Warm Regards,
Christine Firth, Principal

Around the School
January is School Board Appreciation Month, a time to recognize and thank our dedicated school board members for their service and leadership.
As elected representatives, they work closely with the community to establish policies and make decisions that support student success and strengthen public education. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to public service have a lasting impact on the success of our schools and the well-being of our students. You can learn more about our School Board Directors here.
We are grateful for their commitment, time, and efforts to ensure a bright future for our schools and students.
