Whitehouse News - February 2026

Dear WHS Families,

February is Caring Month at WHS, a special time dedicated to teaching our students what it truly means to care for others and spread kindness in our community. We kicked-off the month with Cub Conferences … an opportunity for students and staff from different grade levels to come together and collaborate on service projects throughout the year. This month, our students put their hearts into creating Valentine’s crafts for children in the hospital. These handmade gestures of love and encouragement will be delivered just in time for February 14, bringing smiles to those who need them most. On behalf of all of our Cubs of Character and with much love, Happy Valentine’s Day to You & Yours! 💌

Whitehouse School rocked and rolled on Elvis's Birthday, a school-wide Hawaiian celebration inspired by one of the principal's favorite singers! This annual Spirit Day dates back 20 years.🌺🎸 Students and staff came dressed in Hawaiian shirts, leis, sunglasses, and Elvis-inspired flair... instantly transforming the school into a tropical paradise! The halls were filled with island vibes, smiles, and plenty of school spirit as everyone joined in the fun. Thank you, thank you very much!

We were proud to participate in our second Walk-to-School Day of the year! Despite the cold weather, students, families, and staff members bundled up to enjoy a fun, healthy start to the school day. Everyone was especially excited to be greeted at the finish line by a cheerful snowman ⛄. With much gratitude for our partners: goHunterdon and the Readington Township Police Department for helping keep our walkers safe along the route. We loved seeing our school community come together—join us for our next Walk-to-School Day on May 1. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Everyone was glowing from head-to-toe as students and staff celebrated Neon Spirit Day hours before our much-anticipated Let's Glow Crazy Dance! Bright colors, glowing accessories, and big smiles filled the halls as everyone showed off their neon style and school spirit. The excitement continued that evening when the lights were low, the music was high, and the dance floor was full of energy! It was a fun-filled celebration that brought our school community together and truly lit up the night with spirit, laughter, and unforgettable memories. This special give-back event was made possible because of our Home School Association under the direction of Mrs. Carolanne Sherwood & Mrs. Missy Mest!✨💚🕺💃

Meet some of the people who make Whitehouse School such an amazing place!

Each month, three staff members are randomly chosen and are showcased in this segment.

Please encourage your children to continue to show good character as they earn your permission to shade in pieces of their "caring" bucket puzzle!

The mission of Whitehouse School is to provide children with a nurturing environment where they will feel safe and accepted. Our school community encourages respect and builds independence while fostering academic and personal growth, while creating a love for learning.
