As he comes back through after visiting the nurse: "Mrs. Maddox, I guess I just have to wait until I go to the restroom."

Library Acitivites

Mrs. Maddox is highlighting Fairy Tales this month. She explained what fairy tales are, how they have been remade into different versions, example: Cinderella has been revised over 3,000 times! Some Fairy Tales have fairies, some have magic and some don't but they all have a good moral to teach us how to react in real life. January is the birthday of Jacob Grimm, one of the Brother's Grimm story authors.

About "Her Own Two Feet"

Meredith Davis is the co-author of HER OWN TWO FEET: A RWANDAN GIRL’S BRAVE FIGHT TO WALK (Scholastic, 2019). "Through her eyes, Her Own Two Feet is a moving story of a young Rwandan girl born with clubfeet and the risk she takes for the chance to walk on the bottoms of her feet for the first time. Rebeka Uwitonze was born in Rwanda with curled and twisted feet, which meant she had to crawl or be carried to get around. At nine years old, she gets an offer that could change her life. A doctor in the US might be able to turn her feet. But it means leaving her own family behind and going to America on her own"--
