4/27/26: Community Newsletter

Ingraham News
Are you ready to see a change along Aurora Avenue between 80th and 145th? The City of Seattle, along with community partners, is beginning a collaboration to reimagine Aurora, and Ingraham is part of that work. Over spring break, a group of principals, along with Mr. Stowell, Ms. Mackey, and me, met with city leaders to share ideas, share our experiences, and advocate for steps that will directly benefit our students and school communities. Safety was a central part of the conversation!
There will be opportunities for staff, students, and families to have their voices heard. Community conversations are being planned at Robert Eagle Staff Middle School and Bitter Lake Community Center. If you're interested in joining the conversations about the future of Aurora Avenue North, please fill this out form to share your feedback about the Aurora Ave N. situarion. We also encouraged city partners to connect directly with our school community by attending events such as curriculum night, multicultural night, and FOI/Bright Futures meetings, as well as engaging with students during advisory and other school activities.
This is exciting news for all of us. Having grown up just two blocks from Aurora, I know firsthand the potential this area holds.
Congrats 101 Scholarship Athletes
We’re proud to recognize six Ingraham students, who were recognized by Washington Athletic Club as 101 Scholar Athletes, an honor awarded to students across the Seattle area. This recognition goes beyond athletic performance, celebrating individuals who demonstrate outstanding character, citizenship, sportsmanship, and academic achievement. It’s a true reflection of the well-rounded excellence we strive for at Ingraham, and we’re excited to celebrate this incredible accomplishment.
