OLA's Mission Statement
Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School is committed to nurturing the hearts and minds of young learners in a faith-filled environment.
Welcome Back to a New School Year!
A warm welcome to all of our OLA families! We feel truly blessed to begin another year together and are excited to welcome both returning and new students and families to our OLA community.
Our theme for this year is Rooted. United. Sent., inspired by Jesus’ words in John 15:5, 8: “I am the vine; you are the branches… bear much fruit and become my disciples.”
This year, we will explore what it means to be rooted in Christ, united as a community, and sent out to share His love with others. When we stay connected to Jesus and to one another, we grow—and that growth is meant to bear fruit.
At the heart of our theme is evangelization: helping others come to know Jesus through the way we live. Through kindness, service, courage, welcome, and love, even our youngest students can show others what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
We look forward to growing together this year as we become more deeply Rooted. United. Sent.
Blessings,
Our Lady of Angels Admin Team

Faith, Learning, & Wellness
Growing Together in Virtue - OLA's Virtue Character Education
At OLA, we believe it is important to develop the whole child—heart, mind, body, and spirit. Character education is an important part of helping our students grow into kind, responsible, thoughtful, and courageous people.
Our character education is centred on the Cardinal Virtues of Prudence, Justice, Temperance, and Fortitude. These virtues give children practical tools to make wise choices, treat others fairly, practice self-control, and show courage and perseverance when things are difficult.
Throughout the year, students will learn about and practice these virtues at school. Each week, we will also share a Virtue Focus Question for families to discuss together, helping extend these important conversations into the home.
We look forward to partnering with you as we help your child grow in character, faith, and learning throughout the year.
Buban's Book Pick
Scarecited on the First Day of School written by Alliah L. Agostini
This week’s book, chosen by Mrs.Buban, our wonderful librarian, is Scarecited on the First Day of School.
It follows a young girl getting ready for the first day of school while feeling scared and excited at the very same time — “scarecited!” It’s a wonderful reminder that big moments can bring lots of different feelings, and that it’s okay to feel more than one thing at once.
