Weekly Update # 3- September 7th- 11th
Where Little Panther Cubs Begin BIG Journeys
From the Principal
Dear Luce Road Families,
What an incredible start to the school year at Luce Road ECLC! After two exciting weeks of Panther Cub Adventure Camp, our kindergarten students celebrated Reveal Day and learned who their teachers and classmates will be. Our preschool students are also wrapping up their first week of Adventure Camp.
Next week, students will begin learning what it means to ROAR like an Alma Panther. ROAR stands for Respect Others, Act Responsibly, and Be Safe. It has been inspiring to watch our students enter their classrooms with excitement, courage, and smiles as they begin their big journeys with us.
Kindergarten Adventure Camp was filled with opportunities for our Panther Cubs to “take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!” Each day, they are gaining independence and learning how we do school at Luce Road. Whether walking proudly in line, staying safe on the playground, showing kindness and respect to friends, or acting responsibly in the classroom, our Panther Cubs are becoming leaders in their own learning.
Next week in kindergarten, students will be introduced to key components of our Bookworms Reading curriculum and Number Corner from our Bridges Math curriculum.
We are incredibly proud of the energy, joy, and effort our students have shown. Thank you to our amazing families for your continued support and to our dedicated teaching team for creating safe, caring, and adventurous classrooms where every Panther Cub can thrive.
This is only the beginning! The year ahead will be filled with curiosity, discovery, and growth. Together, we will make it a year to remember.
Always remember, Luce Road is the place:
Where Little Panther Cubs Begin BIG Journeys!
Warm regards,
Dr. Ernest Conerly
Principal, Luce Road ECLC

ID or Pick Up Line Tag
Pick UP Guidance
Please make sure you are calling the school by 1:00 p.m. to make changes to your students transportation routine, whether its a new person picking them up, switching between the CarLine and the Walk up Line, After Care and Bus. We need to know, before we place students in their dismissal lines. Please NOTE a BUS TAG takes priority over any other tags attached to your students back pack. Please make sure your student has the right tag on their backpacks: Letter BUS TAG, Orange WalkUp tag, Yellow Aftercare Tag, Purple DollarRide Tag or GREEN CarLine Tag. Let the office know if we have tag your student wrong.
Labeling Student Belongings
Parents and guardians, please label your Panther Cub’s belongings, including backpack, coat, lunch box, and water bottle. Our Lost and Found is filling up, and labeled items can be returned quickly. Thank you for your help!
Clothing
Please make sure you send a change of clothes in for your student. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s helpful for them to have a change of clothes.
Please make sure ALL of your student’s belongings are labeled with their name! If it gets lost, staff will know who to return it to!
