Hello, Leroy Nichols Families!

🐾 Finishing Quarter One Strong!

We have officially made it to the final stretch of our first quarter! It is hard to believe how quickly time has have gone. Our Cougars have been learning, growing, and building new routines, and we are so proud of their strong start!

This week is our last week before Fall Break, and just a helpful reminder, Tuesday through Friday are all minimum days as our teachers meet with families for Parent Teacher Conferences.

A big thank you to all of the families who have scheduled a conference and are setting aside time to connect with your child’s teacher. These conversations are such an important part of building a strong home to school partnership. When teachers and families work together, we are better able to celebrate each student’s strengths, identify areas for growth, and support their academic, social, emotional, and individual needs.

🍂 Fall Break Reminder

Fall Break will officially begin after school on Friday, September 25. School will not be in session during the weeks of September 28 and October 5.

We will welcome our Cougars back for the first day of second quarter on Monday, October 12!

As we head into the break, I hope our students and families enjoy some well deserved time together, make special memories, and come back refreshed and ready for another great quarter.

Our 6th grade team, PTA, and families are hard at work planning for Science Camp and fundraising to help make this special opportunity possible for our students!

We are currently working on a monthly can and bottle donation calendar and wanted to share this information with you ahead of time. As you enjoy upcoming breaks, please consider saving your cans and bottles so you can participate in our fundraiser!
