Low Ash Primary
Weekly round up - 21.3.25
It feels as though 'spring has sprung' this week. The lighter evenings and sunny days have definitely been enjoyed! Let's hope the sunshine continues over the weekend...
Stars of the Week
EYFS and KS1 Stars of the Week
KS2 Stars of the Week
Well done to this week's Stars of the Week! You should all be very proud of yourselves.
Attendance
This week's school attendance is 96.5%.
Whole school attendance so far this year is 95.1%.
Early Years/Key Stage 1 class of the week is 1P with 98.3% attendance!
Key Stage 2 class of the week is 6LH with 98.2% attendance - well done!
Once more, here is the link to the attendance page of the school website which has information on the Penalty Notice system. Ultimately, more than 2 penalty notices could result in the council taking you to court and a criminal record. We really do not want any of our families to have to go through this.

The annual, popular mother's day secret room will take place next Friday (28th March). Once again, FOLA have organised this fantastic event. On Tuesday, the pupils will get a 'sneaky peek' of the presents on offer so they will have an idea of what they want to purchase before the day itself.
SEND parent and carer session
Parking
I was horrified to receive an email from a local resident this week which explained the abuse she had received from one of our parents when trying to get out of her own drive at the end of the school day as, quite reasonably, she had to collect her own children from school. The matter has now been handed over to the police due to the threatening nature of the confrontation.
As well as being horrified that local residents are being threatened, I am also horrified that some parents and carers would do this in front of Low Ash pupils. Whilst we continuously try to teach pupils kindness, tolerance and respect, if they are witnessing these interactions outside of school, it is 'normalising' this type of behaviour.
I would not expect any parent or carer to put themselves in harm's way if they witness any inappropriate behaviour outside of school, but we would welcome you informing us.
Similarly, please could we remind you that the school car parks are for staff only (unless you have a disabled badge). We would love to be able to offer you a school car park, but this is out of our control. The school car parks simply aren't big enough for parents and carers to use. We are concerned that, should children be brought into the car park and dropped off this way, potentially you are putting them at risk.
School Car
The school car finally had its grand opening this week and, you can tell from the faces of the children, how much they enjoyed playing in it! They even get the opportunity to pump up and deflate the tyres! Now the weather is beginning to improve, we will set a date for another parent and carer 'play' session - watch this space! From watching the past sessions, I would say most parents and carers have as much fun (if not more so) than the children!
Consultation Evening
A reminder that it is parent and carer consultation evenings next week on both Wednesday and Thursday. If you have not already booked your appointment, we encourage you to take this opportunity to talk to your child's class teacher.
Staff Fundraising Challenge
Please don't forget to support us if you can! Thank you to those who have already sponsored us. If you feel you can help in any way, please go to our Just Giving page by clicking on the link below. All funds raised will go to school to ensure we can continue to offer the Low Ash pupils all of the things they deserve.
Watch this space as a children's fundraising challenge will be announced very soon!
Sporting Achievements
Well done to the Low Ash U11's football team. They came joint top of their league - just missing out on the final 'top spot' on goal difference (by 1 goal only). A fantastic achievement for all involved.
Online Safety
All of the guides we share with you can be found on the Online Safety Page of our school website. We update this each week with a new guide.
This week's useful guide is all about live streaming.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday.
