Bullying Survey Response Analysis Bullying Survey Response Analysis

Thank you to the families who responded to the recent questionnaire about bullying. School administrators have spent time reviewing the responses from families, students, and staff. While the majority of respondents feel that WB Schools respond appropriately to allegations of bullying, we've found some areas where we can improve. Below you'll find a slide from our presentation to School Committee identifying our proposed next steps.

One important step is making the reporting of suspected bullying easier for students and families. All school websites now feature an easy-to find, easy to complete "Bullying Reporting Form." You'll also be able to find a button to report bullying included in every school newsletter. I've included it below in this newsletter, and plan to put it at the bottom of every future newsletter.

Traffic and School Parking Lot

Reminder that all traffic should be entering the Spring Street Parking lot from Spring Street and exiting towards the High School towards Howard Street. Please DO NOT exit on to Spring Street. This will ensure all traffic flows in the same direction. Thank you!!

Raising MultiCultural Kids Program Raising MultiCultural Kids Program

Our Raising Multicultural kids lesson focused on embracing diversity in others by accepting different skin tones. The Kindergarteners learned all about melanin and how it gives skin its color and then used different colors of magic clay to highlight what happens when different colors mix together!

School Improvement Council School Improvement Council

We are looking for parent volunteers to be part of our Spring Street School Improvement Council. If you have a child at the school, please consider being part of the continuous effort to improve our school. Community input is needed in determining the direction of education for our young people. Meetings generally last an hour or less and take place after school. It is a good way to be involved in the improvement of our school.

Please reach out to Mrs. Ellis at mellis@wbridgewater.com if interested.

The next meeting will be on 12/18 at 2:45.

Kindergarten Sock Hop Kindergarten Sock Hop

Kindergarten celebrated the 50th day of school with an old fashioned sock hop at the West Bridgewater Council on Aging. They enjoyed dressing up and dancing to the music of the '50's!
