Dear Families,

I am excited to introduce a new Art teacher, Mrs. Molly Cranch, who will be filling in for Ms. Todorovich for the remainder of the school year. While Mrs. Cranch will spend the majority of her time at Cumberland Elementary School, she will teach two classes at Forest Elementary School.

Mrs. Cranch attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and later Fairmouth University to earn her Master's in Illustration. She comes to D62 with over 20 years of experience teaching in schools, universities, museums, and community arts centers. Mrs. Cranch specializes in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and digital media with a focus on fostering creativity, self-expression, and interdisciplinary connections.

To support Mrs. Cranch with her transition into this role, she has had an opportunity to connect with Ms. Todorovich and will continue collaborating with other members of the District 62 Art Department. Mrs. Cranch will focus on teaching grade level art standards and developing relationships with our talented Forest students.

While Forest will miss Ms. Todorovich, we are looking forward to welcoming Mrs. Cranch when we return from winter break. Mrs. Cranch's first day at Forest will be this Wednesday, January 7th.

If you have any questions or have information, please do not hesitate to reach out. As always, thank you for your support and partnership in education.

Sincerely,

Ms. Amber Soike
