Message from Mrs. Schneid

Dear Families,

Glad those cold and snowy days are behind us! ( As it is snowing and very cold out right now)

This short week wrapped up January, and we are ready to take on February.

As we move into the new month and students are able to enjoy outdoor recess, please be sure they are dressed appropriately for the weather. Our outdoor recess guidelines are included in this newsletter. Sending extra socks or weather-appropriate clothing is always a great plan for February.

We have many fun events coming up this month, including PTSA Valentine’s Day parties, grade-level visits to the BMMS Planetarium, Titan Ticket Days, PTSA Bingo Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and so much more!

We will also be holding our February Town Hall meetings next week. We would love for students to wear their grade-level T-shirts on their Town Hall day.

Take care, stay warm, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!

Warmly,

Mrs. Schneid

Mr.Carnabuci

Ms. Frimel

  • Conference Night is Feb. 19 (4:00- 8:00 PM) - In person

  • Teachers have communicated a conference request and have shared a link for families to schedule their conference if needed.

  • Families have been notified by the classroom teacher if a conference is not needed.

  • Parents/Guardians may also request a conference by reaching out to your child's teacher.

  • All conferences must be scheduled by Thursday, Feb. 12.

Attendance Matters

Regular school attendance plays an important role in helping children grow as learners and as confident members of our school community. Being at school each day helps students build strong learning habits, feel connected to their classmates and teachers, and experience success both academically and socially.

Families can support positive attendance by:

  • Establishing consistent morning and bedtime routines

  • Scheduling appointments outside of school hours whenever possible

  • Talking with your child about the importance of being present and ready to learn each day

We also encourage families to remind children that school is a safe, welcoming, and fun place to be. When students are absent, their teachers and classmates truly miss them!

Every day at school helps a child grow — academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for partnering with us to support strong attendance and a love of learning.

Currently we have 12% of our student body that is Chronically Absent.- Our goal is to decrease this percentage to 10% or less.

We will be reaching out in Feb. to schedule Attendance Meetings - Our goal is to work together to improve your Titan's attendance.

Recess Guidelines- Very Important to Read and Know! Recess Guidelines- Very Important to Read and Know!

Dear Guardians-

Please be sure to be familiar with these guidelines below. All students must be prepared to go outside. When we have snow and the temperature permits our students to be outside, we would love for them to play in the snow appropriately. To be allowed to play in the snow they must have all of the following:

Snow Pants, Coat/Jacket, Boots and Gloves

They DO NOT need these items to go outside, but do need them if they want to play in the snow. We have areas for the kids play in - they love it! They make snow angels, build snowmen- but they must be dressed appropriately to do so.
