Dear Parents and Community,
We are excited to have our biggest fundraiser of the year in full swing! Thank you to all of our parents and community members who have donated to our efforts!
Last year, we were able to fund the following Campus Improvement projects:
Verkada Security Cameras for the entire school
Emergency Lockdown Kits for every classroom
Portable speakers for our assemblies
Playground sports equipment
Memorial tree and bench on the playground
LED Crossing Guard stop signs
Supplementary reading curriculum
PE Scooters
Vision testing materials
Step stools for teachers
And even more!
Please check out the July 2026 PTSA newsletter, which details what your donations funded here.
This year we have the following items on our Campus Improvements wishlist:
Basketball court shade structure (this is a two year project based on our quote)
Upgrade our water bottle refilling stations to include a filtration system
Playground sports equipment
Library beautification reading nook
Multipurpose room murals
We would love more input from parents on these items, too! Please join us at our PTSA meetings to provide your input and ideas on how we spend our funds this year! You can find our PTSA meeting calendar here.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs. Shelly Schubert

All Things EQ
Hello Families,
The motto this week is:
I make the most out of every experience.
This motto doesn't mean that every experience in our life should be perfect, or even that we will like every experience. It simply means that whatever this moment brings, little or much, we get to choose what to make of what's available to us.
In life, we don't always get to choose our conditions. However, we do always get to choose how we will experience those conditions.
Picture two students on the same rainy day. Outdoor recess is canceled, and both of them are in the same classroom with board games available. One student complains about losing outdoor recess for the whole thirty minutes. The other one finds a friend and plays a board game. Same condition. Two very different experiences. Neither student chose indoor recess. However, both chose how they would experience it.
That is what resilience looks like: not controlling what happens but how you respond.
An easy way to help your child practice this motto is by asking an end-of-day question. Rather than "Did you have a good day?" which tends to produce only a yes or no answer, consider: "What did you make of today?" This question invites a more thoughtful response.
One thing to keep in mind: if your child genuinely had a hard day and is sharing that with you, don't rush to the question. Let "That sounds really hard," or "I'm sorry that happened" come first. If the question is asked too soon, it can feel like their hard day is being skipped over rather than understood. First, acknowledge their day, and then, if it feels right, ask the question.
On a typical day, you can help your child think about the different ways they made the most out of their day, until they get good enough to recognize it for themselves. Such as, "I finished my classwork early, so I won't have any homework, and I got to read my book in class."
Because it's not about waiting for a better day; it is about making the most of this one.
"Happiness, not in another place, but this place, not for another hour, but this hour."
- Walt Whitman
