Our hallways were filled with smiles, excitement, and the energy that makes our school community so special. From welcoming new students and reconnecting with familiar faces to engaging learning experiences in the classroom, it was a fantastic start to the school year.

We are grateful to our dedicated teachers and staff, supportive families, and amazing students for making the first day such a success. We can't wait to see all the learning, growth, and achievements this year will bring!

Dear Trip Elementary Families,

Thank you for helping us have a strong start to the school year.

Today was the first day of our new personal electronic device expectation for students and we appreciate your support in helping them come to school prepared. As a reminder, students may bring devices to school, but they may not use or access them during the school day, from the first bell to the final bell.

Our staff spent time today reviewing expectations, answering questions, and helping students learn the new routine. As with any new expectation, there may be a short adjustment period, and we will continue supporting students with reminders and guidance.

In line with Gwinnett County Public Schools guidelines, when students do not meet expectations, we will address violations in a fair, age-appropriate manner.

Thank you for continuing to talk with your child about:

•Keeping devices powered off during the school day

•Storing devices appropriately at school

•Contacting the school office if a family needs to reach a student during the day

We appreciate your partnership as we work together to create a focused, distraction-free learning environment for every student.

Help Your Child Start the Day on Time!

Arrive in the Car Rider Line:

⏰ 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM

This arrival window gives students enough time to:
✅ Exit the vehicle safely
✅ Walk to class
✅ Be seated before the tardy bell

Important:

• ⚠️ Students are marked TARDY at 8:15 AM.

• Because of morning traffic and line wait times, arriving after 8:00 AM will likely result in your child being tardy.
